Staka is a Nordic skiing app for iPhone and iPad that pairs with the SkiErg over Bluetooth. Real-physics terrain means climbs, descents, and drafting feel like an actual trail. Players ski real-world trails, race other skiers in real time, and earn Staka points based on race results, a ranking that mirrors how the fastest skiers on a real hill are known to everyone else who skis it.

We are skiers. The SkiErg delivers a real workout. What it lacks is the experience: the ups and downs, twists and turns of an actual Nordic trail. Athletes have traditionally used the SkiErg for short efforts. Staka closes that gap. Athletes can now ski for the same durations they would on snow, on the same trails that exist in the real world. Realism is the priority.

Unlike other virtual sports, Staka is a competitive environment. Win races and your Staka points climb. Lose and they drop. That mirrors real life: you know who the fastest skiers are on your local hill, and you'll know it in Staka too.

Beyond racing, structured training programs curated by athletes to build long-term performance are coming soon. Free ski lets every athlete navigate the trails on their own terms, the way they would on snow.
